Monika Janeczek aka "Manzi" and Anisha Bhasin Mukherjee aka "Dem" established MDF in 2017 during a life-changing trip to Kenya. What started off as a spontaneous adventure for Nairobi native Anisha to visit her birth country and travel enthusiast Monika to explore a new land, resulted in an eternal bond with Kenya and its people. While on safari at andBeyond Kichwa Tembo in the Masai Mara, Manzi and Dem had the privilege of visiting Iltolish School and meeting its faculty and students. Upon hearing of Joshua's unfortunate situation, they made a commitment on the spot to start a foundation to benefit the students and school, starting with Joshua. Together with MDF supporters, they aspire to do whatever they can to enrich the lives of these beautiful children and the community of Maasai Mara.
